About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Try to make at least one person smile everyday

ABOUT ME

I am Dan................

I am friendly, open and sociable. I like to have a chat over a cup of tea/glass of wine/bottle of beer.

I love summer afternoons, being tired after physical work, buying second hand stuff, the crackle and pop of vinyl records, hanging out in quirky cafes, discovering something new, trees and tea pots.

I hate throwing things away, repetition, dark mornings, being mentally tired, banana milkshakes, and watching too much TV.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books

I love lots of different music and my favorites are always changing, but Radiohead, Pulp and David Bowie are always somewhere near the top of my list.

Sometimes I really really like listening to Donovan (for those who don't know, Donovan is a British folk/pop singer from the 60's, he has a reputation of being a bit kitch but he makes me smile)

After living in Italy for 11 months I gained a soft spot for a singer called Lucio Battisti.

I read quite a lot. I love fictional books that take me away to exciting unusual places. Murakami is great at it.

I also like a good film, but always seem to forget film titles and actors names.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have been told that I can be quite a good cook sometimes

So I would love to exchanging recipies, tips, and ideas with people.
