About Me

I am a Peruvian guy called Dante Blas from Peru who went to uni for a degree in Audiovisual Communications and Interactive Media who never really wanted it; I learned from YouTube to be honest. After living in the United States through 2023 and 2024, I discovered my passion for the fast-paced energy of the service industry and traveling. I realized how big the world is, how many places I could visit, and how much I limited myself.

I was living the 'American Dream' like others say. I understand that I can connect with people from all walks of life; it feels like I know them from another life even when I just met them in another country, far away from a place that I used to call home. 2025 was a tough year; I lost my visa, so I couldn't get back to the US. Plan B was moving to Australia on a Work and Holiday visa to seek a fresh start, embrace a culture where I can truly be myself, and fund my long-term goal of global travel and projects. I am a hard-working, adaptable server who believes that every guest interaction is a chance to learn something new.
Currently in Cairns-Australia, living in a hostel, so that’s the reason I can’t host anyone. In fact I don’t know where I don’t event know where I am gonna sleep the next month 😅

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have a weird relationship with water: I’ve gone scuba diving multiple times. But I actually don’t know how to swim.! I just trust the gear l, stay calm, and let the fins do the work. It’s a bit of a “don’t ask me how. I just do it, situation”
When I was traveling Europe on a tight budget “, I learned the art of food rescued. I saw people on YouTube asking for leftover food. I applied what I learn from there. Ironically I get a pice of bread, pizza, chips and another kind of food that I can’t remember the name. It’s something that would never happen in my own country!
