Overview
About Me
I enjoy the outdoors, spontaneous plans, a cup of coffee, a great read and a good company. Most of the time I like being surrounded by people and experiencing their cultures when I'm not I just like being laid back and enjoy what each day presents.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet you because I think everyone everywhere has something unique to offer. Diversity is beautiful and connections are meaningful and these two things come together to make Couchsurfing and incredibly exciting platform to be apart of.
Interests
I love taking pictures. I think a well shot photograph screams a thousand words and with every picture I take,I believe I am capturing a piece in time. You can check out my instagram profile at @abroadwithdan. I am also a big time foodie. I enjoy a well cooked meal everythingthe local markets to something that came out of fine dining kitchen.
Music, Movies, and Books
Ken Follett is my all time favourite author but if i had to choose a book it would be the Pillars of the Earth also by Ken Follett and I would say that is my all time favourite read.
Besides that, I enjoy reading books on self improvement, spirituality and the occasional fictional read.
.......................................................................................................................................................................
A movie that i'd never get bored of watching is Titanic. Something about this setting never gets old. In addition to that, San Andreas and Jurassic World both currently showing in theatres are worth the watch in my opinion.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Parasailing in Langkawi, Malaysia while enjoying the view of the deep blue oceans below. Nothing compares to the experience of your parachute being tied to a speed boat and away you went.
Going for a solo swim in the oceans in Lagos, Portugal at the height of winter. It was one thrilling experience.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A good chat over coffee. I think coffee makes the conversation and the potential of the conversation shared over a cup of coffee is limitless. I would love to shares my experiences of solo travel so far and also living abroad and I'd be looking forward to hear your Couchsurfing experiences as I am a rookie surfer.
