About Me
I'm up for random diversions in my life, or that road less travelled ~ constantly on the lookout for those that inspire me to do something different.
I moved here from London at the start of 2009 ~ where I lived with a cosmopolitian bunch ~ musicians, composers, a Portugese actress who worked part-time as a clown, a Film maker, a Thai Doctor ~ an excellent cook!!, an eccentric Curator from India, a Harp maker from Germany, dancers from Taiwan and Spain and an italian-german drama queen :-), a noisy Finance student from Ukraine, a nocturnal corporal from the Canadian army ~ she studied media at the LSE and a gregarious opera singer from Argentina... amongst others! Its funny, when I look back, I feel that I am or what defines me is a sum of my experiences and the people I have met at different times in my life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am familiar with Pune and its neighborhoods, having lived in different parts of the city at different times, I have studied here, worked here and returned for work yet again.. So I do know the place pretty well - though much has changed in the last few years of my absence.. and there's always something new to discover through new eyes.. yours and mine...
I haven't couchsurfed yet - proper, but I did have a lovely experience with a few members on a trip to Stockholm, whilst visiting my friend, who is an active CS member.
So, On a very cold, dark and predominantly monochrome November day in a crowded bar in Stockholm, I was delighted to be introduced to a group of warm and colorful CS members. I got invited to a few glogg parties at their homes and even a night of pub-club hopping... It was lovely meeting people from different walks in life and from different parts of the world. I can still vividly remember baking gingerbread biscuits and making little marzipan people at Belinda's pre-christmas party.

Music, Movies, and Books
My taste in music keeps changing... for the moment, I'm listening to some jazz from the 30's. Search up youtube for 'Swinging the Lambeth walk' - its pretty trippy. I've been listening to a bits from the The Post Modern Jukebox lately.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
**Walked home from Mile End (East London) to Earl's court (West London) on Christmas Day! with a hangover after some wine and strange Polish alcohol.
*saw some awesome Beat-boxing at Brixton.
*Attended service at the Russian orthodox church in Camden town... now that's something noteworthy.
*Got mugged on Bricklane and tried to bargain with the hoodlum!
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm always up for learning a new language. I'd like to learn to play the guitar.. or the keyboard.
I'd love to share my interest in photography and .... and my weekend plans ~ with you, someday whenever we may meet.
I can make pancakes and have a reasonable supply of Maple syrup. If I get proper oven soon, I'd bake a cocoa-banana cake too. I have a sweet tooth. I can also teach you how to fold a t-shirt in 2 seconds. I can pack bags reasonably well.
