I grew up in Germany, spend a year in Texas when I was 16. Moved to New York City when I was 22 and am now living in California :). In New York I was living at a an intentional community of roughly 75 people for multiple years.

I generally really enjoy meeting new interesting people.
Besides I really like the experience of living like a local when traveling. I find that this gives a much better idea of how living at a place would really feel like.

I had a lot of great experience here so far... I am always amazed by the hospitality of the couchsurfers who welcomed me...

I really liked the national parks I visited while in the US. Until now I've been to the grand canyon, arches, the rocky mountains, yosemite, joshua tree, kings canyon, sequoia, big bend, carlsbad caverns, guadalupe mountains, acadia, and death valley
