About Me
Open-minded | change-maker | lifelong learner | globetrotter | feminist | leader | friend | foodie
I grew up in a small town of Pakistan neighboring a fertilizer factory where my father used to work as a chemical engineer. Although my exposure to the outside world was limited, my dreams knew no bounds. Ever since I was young I have had this dream to make a difference; first in my immediate community and then in the world. But how can I change the world if I haven't traveled around it? Luckily for me, I came across a college that allows me to live in 7 different cities around the world as I pursue my undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Brand Management.
One of my core values in life is to learn and help others learn. I wish to make a change in this world through education which has been the most impactful tool in my life. I am a staunch believer that the gravest of problems that we face today can be combatted through educational empowerment. As an EdTech enthusiast, I am always on the lookout for opportunities to know more about the advancements made in this field and in fact have been a part of various projects related to it.
For someone like me who truly values making an impact on the community, I love curating meaningful events that bring together people and provide them a space to relax, unwind and learn in fun ways.
My biggest inspiration in life is Roger Federer who happens to be the greatest tennis player the world has seen. While his majestic tennis has inspired me to become a passionate player and follower of the sport, his humility, kindness, and dedication on and off the court have taught me other valuable lessons.
Oh, and there is no way I won't include here that my love for coffee and boba is something people know me for!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
After having lived with people from 40+ countries in the last two years, I have come to cherish the wonderfully diverse conversations I have had with each person and how each conversation has left me thinking about things that I have maybe not even known before. Through Couchsurfing, I want to continue this valuable experience of talking to people and learning their ways of living life. I want this to be a two-way process where not only do they get to share but also know about myself and my experiences that I have had around the world. I am an open-minded individual who wants to keep learning from others as it has been the most effective way for me to grow!
