Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
When I have a house I have always invited people to stay, even before couch surfing. Now I've had the chance to do this again after many great experiences in France.
Not hosting at the moment but you can't have hosts without visitors.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Often people I have met while traveling have invited me to stay at their place, 99% good experiences.
.
In France I soon began to find lots of new friends, Italy and Greece I didn't find anyone.
Germany I've found to be good too, but people are so friendly I didn't need couchsurfing much.

Music, Movies, and Books
Gabriel Garcia Marques, Herman Hesse, Kafka and lots of lighter books occupy my time. I don't watch TV much except Doctor Who and a few other sci fi programs when I have a chance. I rarely go to the cinema
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The sun not going down at midsummer in Scotland and snow on the mountains in the middle of summer in Crete.
I didn't realise until a couple of years ago that being in an Earth tremor was unusual!
And I've spent years traveling by bicycle and busking.
Teach, Learn, Share
I used to teach circus skills, very useful when traveling. Also Guitar/music and I have a great deal of vagabond experience that could be of use to budget travelers in Europe.
