Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To hum the "Mission Impossible" theme when entering a bank!
ABOUT ME
Daniel is an Australian on a working holiday trip to Canada. He lives in a basement suite in the small town of Invermere near the snow resort of Panorama Mountain Village in BC.
Melody is originally from Singapore, but has lived in Australia for over 10 years. She's normally an office slave in Sydney for a magazine, but is currently working from "home" in Invermere.
We love to laugh, enjoy life, experience new things and have a weakness for op (thrift) stores. Melody is vegetarian and so we mostly cook vegetarian meals at home, but it's open season for Daniel when we're out!
PHILOSOPHY
To open the window of life and breathe in the vitality. Too cheesy? Have fun, help people along the way.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Live vicariously through books, Discovery Channel and other travelers by hosting them.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We've fallen asleep on the couch a few times, does that count? Have only hosted surfers so far, and it has been pretty fun. We surfed for the first time in Calgary and that was a great experience. We are looking forward to being hosted and meeting more cool people during our travels around Canada this year.

Music: Sneaky Sound System, Robbie Williams, John Butler Trio, Nickelback (that's really more Daniel)
Books: Terry Pratchett, Douglas Adams (these are really more Melody)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Our time in Canada has been pretty awesome - dogsledding at Lake Louise, snowmobiling/sledding at Panorama/Invermere, Melody dislocating her elbow from a snowboarding incident at Kicking Horse...well, that's probably not amazing-wow, more like amazingly painful!
Franz Joseph Glacier in New Zealand, zorbing in Rotorua...actually NZ has a bunch of great things. Melody has now lived in four different countries, Daniel has lived in three, we love the whole experience moving and settling in to new places, discovering the cultures.
Teach, Learn, Share
He - I could teach you how to snowboard. I'm pretty good at creating spreadsheets (from being an accountant in my previous life), but not sure if too many people would be interested in learning about that!
She - Could teach you how to knit, cook simple Asian vegetarian dishes or share some baking fun! Would love to teach you how to snowboard, but needs help herself still!
