About Me
大家好!Hi there!
Thanks for viewing my page, I am trained as a family doctor in Canada but traveling and backpacking has always remained a deep interest and passion of mine (I even listed backpacking in my medical school applications haha).
I love how solo traveling forces me out of my comfort zone and I get to meet people from all over the world and share their culture, food and learn the local languages.
Currently, I have a big interest in learning Chinese/中文 so I recently took a 5-month sabbatical to travel and live in Taiwan solely to learn Chinese! I arrived in Dec 2019 and I have not traveled out of Taiwan recently and I am always very clean and wash my hands :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe the best way to travel is to really immerse yourself with the local culture, and what better way than to live alongside them via Couchsurfing!

I love exploring and learning about many different things. Currently, I'm focusing a lot of time on learning Chinese and I am really enjoying the process of getting slowly better each day.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
hitchhiking in Japan and enduring 3 hours of weird looks on drivers faces before one magical human finally picked me up haha
I also started a blog a couple years ago and have just recently transitioned to writing in Chinese to practice!
