About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To blend the lines of life, travel and work making them a cohesive whole

ABOUT ME

I love adventures. I love exploring people and places. I find new cultures infinitely fascinating.
I'm a combination of a huge nerd, a bit of an athlete. I dream big, and love working on creative projects.

PHILOSOPHY

We, as humans, have little to no purpose but the one we create for ourselves. What mine has become is two fold:
To become the best version of myself, pursue the 'Platonic' Dan (being physically fit, mentally strong, emotionally flexible, creatively fluid) and secondly to experience as much of this world as I can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I think I may have increased Philadelphia's available couches by a solid quarter. I tell people to join Couch Surfing all of the time.

Beyond that? Just talk about CS all the time-particularly to older folk who don't quite get it.

I'm about to move back in to Philadelphia after a year of Travel, my roommates and I would love to host you!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Every person I meet in CS have a beautiful expansive love of life. Openhearted, kind people.

I've been spontaneously hosted in Galway, Ireland.
I've met the most fascinating man from Germany.
I've danced salsa with a Spanish woman and a German woman in the same night. I was hosting them.
I've discussed politics with a radical german thinker.

I love just about everyone I meet on this site.

Interests

Beer, coffee, cheese, art, music, theater, poetry, fiction, history, meeting new people, video games, narrative constructs, over-analyzing life events.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiked the last 100 miles of the AT in Maine USA in 5 days. Climbed Mauna Loa in Hawaii in 2 and saw the sun rise over a sea of clouds, it erupted into a molten orange with lines of reds and purples in the crevices of the clouds as if the volcano itself had spewed fourth. Gorgeous.
