My husband is a retired veterinarian and I am a retired education assistant and animal health technician. We have three grown sons and two granddaughters. We live on a hobby farm about 1,000 feet above the Fraser Valley and our house overlooks Cultus Lake. Its a long way up, but once you get to the top it is worth it!

I love to travel on a shoestring and also dislike hotels with their sterile environments! I prefer hostels and places where I can meet and talk with all kinds of different people, so I thought I'd try couchsurfing.
