I believe with couchsurfing you get to learn and be involved in local culture deeper than if you stay in hotels., etc. It's the best experience to know new people from everywhere in the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

I can enjoy everything but very few genres.
My favorites are oldies music and classic rock, I enjoy watching pretty much any movies genre and it usually depends on my mood, but I dislike horror ones. And I love to read high/epic fantasy books.

I did Mt Roraima trekking trip, it was the best experience in my live by far.
Go to Venezuela and visit it. You won't regret it.
