ABOUT ME

I am a lifelong student and am taking a break between finishing my PhD and starting a full time Job. My plan is to take 8 months to circumnavigate the world on a budget. I prefer to meet locals and learn about how others live rather than seeing the checklist tourist sights.

I love all forms of dancing, but am particularly fond of Cuban Salsa (Casino) and hope to meet Casineros from all parts of the world.

I also am a fan of acoustics and hope to see many of the sound sights around the world.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is good and helping others is of paramount importance.

I'm usually a day person. You'll generally find me wandering, hiking, or on some adventure during the day and relaxing in the evening. While I can go out and party at night, I'm generally more of a quiet evening person.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm in a traveling phase of my life, but I hope to give back and host once I settle somewhere. I left my job and apartment to travel the world. I don't know how far I'll get before I run out of money, but it's worth the shot.

I like most all music as long as it's not negative. Classical, country, jazz, blues, electronica, and non-derrogatory rap are all good to me.

Danced Cuban salsa in three countries, I hope to expand that list.
