My name is Darcey and I'm a travel junkie, dog lover, who's always looking for her next adventure! I'm originally from Brooklyn, NY but have been country hoping for the last three years teaching English. I'm always up for a new challenge and love embracing different cultures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I find the best way to understand a new place is to take your time and meet the people who actually live there. When I travel I do my best not to rush and to interact with as many people as possible. I aim to truly understand the stories of the people I am lucky enough to meet.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Had drinks with the police captain of Jeju Island, South Korea.
Went paragliding in Danyang, South Korea.
Went bungee jumping in Phuket, Thailand.
Saw the first sunrise of a new year on the top of the Fushimi Inari Shrine in Japan.
Lived in the rice patties of Thailand for eight months.
