About Me
ABOUT ME
My boyfriend and I are moving to Southern California in our tiny home are having some trouble finding a place to park it and live from. We are looking for an RV pad at someone's home to park in (for any amount of time possible). We have solar and a battery but would appreciate being able to plug in for larger appliances and are happy to pay for what we use and even pay rent for parking there. We are great neighbors, are looking to make friends or happy to give privacy- whatever the host prefers! Our work allows us to live anywhere south of LA so location is totally flexible. We will be getting to the region next week and would be happy to meet up first! Even if you don't have space for us, we would appreciate any connections you might have to people with space!
PHILOSOPHY
I think some quotes would be appropriate for this one:
"Night has always pushed up day. To see life, you must see decay. But I won't rot, not this mind and not this heart; I won't rot...And there will come a time, you'll see, with no more tears. And love will not break your heart but dismiss your fears- get over your hill and see what you find there, with grace in your heart and flowers in your hair." - Mumford and Sons
"All you touch and all you see are all your life will ever be." - Pink Floyd
"Treat others as you wish to be treated."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have surfed before and always and incredible experience! I hope to be able to host in the future as well.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Stayed at two different locations in London summer 2012 over a short trip and enjoyed it very much. I also camped in a backyard at a music festival in the US in the summer's of 2013 and 2014. Met some awesome people!
Interests
My interests are DANCING (anywhere and everywhere), hiking, yoga, learning foreign languages, exploring, walking in others' shoes- anything that gives me perspective on the world and makes me more thankful for what I was given, making memories and meeting other great people along the way!
I graduated from college in May 2012 in Virginia (US) and spent the summer immediately following that as an environmental intern in an eco-village in Southern Iceland. I have been in the solar industry for 4 years now and am so excited to be in California where solar is flourishing.

Music, Movies, and Books
Favorite musical genre would have to be indie/folk/acoustic. Also love some EDM, hip hop, rock, jam bands, etc. As far as shows and movies go, for the most part, if it doesn't make me laugh or cry (but mostly laugh), it isn't worth my time. Bookwise, I am VERY into the metaphysical/esoteric realms of literature. I love exploring spirituality and my relationship to the Uni/Multiverse. I also love a good novel/fiction, and love books about optimizing health and wellness.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent a summer in Iceland after college for an internship. It was incredible. The feeling of going abroad alone for so long, of immersion into another culture, of stretching my own boundaries...nothing beats that.
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to learn from others as much as possible but I also know I have a story to share as well. I have gained a lot of valuable (to me, anyway) insight to life through my experiences in the last few years that I wish I could share with everyone I meet. These include my philosophy of life being that the key is being a good person who truly deserves to find happiness and then being able to either find it or make it- whatever the circumstances. That's the only way to stay sane in the midst of the downs that we all know life has in store for us every once in a while.
On a slightly less abstract level, I am truly eager to learn about people from other backgrounds and cultures and learn as many languages as possible during my life.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A fun time and great conversation. Also, the love of my dogs.
