Overview
About Me
I grew up in a small rural community in the south-east region of Australia as the middle child of 11. I moved to Melbourne to go to university, obtaining my PhD in immunology and biochemistry after nine years of study. After that I moved to Belgium to work as a medical research scientist for the last 2.5 years. I am now backpacking, camping, and hitch-hiking across Europe to experience and learn all I can
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet people of the world, share my experiences and perspectives, and learn about theirs
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach:
I love to talk about science, particularly the workings of the immune system and it's critical role in the balance between health and disease. Having previously taught immunology in Melbourne, I am always happy and willing to share my understanding of the topic. Beyond that, I also enjoy deep discussion on alternative perspectives on various topics, ranging from love, to the origins of our species, to the nature of reality. I like to believe, given my personal experiences, I have developed my own philosophy of life
Learn:
I am willing and eager to learn as much as possible. I believe learning, and seeing things from a different perspective, is an essential part of our personal development and spiritual growth. I am particularly interested in learning more about self sufficiency and sustainable life practices
What I Can Share with Hosts
Delicious home-cooked meals and delightful company 😊
