ABOUT ME
When I first joined couchsurfing I was a single college student. Since then I have been lucky enough to graduate, have a beautiful daughter, and get married. So what was once 1 is now 3. We are a family who enjoys being outside, hiking, bbqing, and all the other things a two year likes to do. My husband, Todd, and I are both young working parents. We love to meet new people but we both do work 40-50 hours a week, making us pretty busy people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am a pretty laid back host. But I am usually pretty busy so I will hang out but only after work and my school stuff is finished. I try to take people out to show them the sites but generally I just have too much going on. So if you are looking for someone to take you under their wing and show you the whole city, that is probably not me. But I am still happy to host people.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have hosted a number of people in my single days but took an extended break to start a family. Now we are open again to having people in our home, but be aware we do have a 2 year old running around.
Interests
After we get home from work, we like to cook new foods, go to the park, hike all the fun trails in Flagstaff, travel to new places, and at the end of the day relax and possibly enjoy a movie. We don't go out very often but we like to entertain at home with some good food, good people, and good wine.

Music, Movies, and Books
books - the kite runner, my sisters keeper, anything by wally lamb.
movies - documentary, comedy, action. anything but horror.
music - favorite band of all time is Bush. Yes I sometimes live in the 90s. But I listen to a lot of different stuff. Rap, rock, R & B, jazz, blues, foreign, etc. Country is not my favorite but I do like some of it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I traveled to Argentina, I was lucky enough to go to two different places. The first Iguazu Falls was amazing from both the Argentinian side as well as the Brazilian side. Also the wild life in Argentina was so interesting.
Teach, Learn, Share
The Grand Canyon is really interesting but you will find a lot more out if you take a tour. There is one that provides transportation, drinks, and lunch. The North Rim is even more interesting and much less touristed than the South Rim. And if you are staying in Flagstaff there is a bunch more to do than just the Grand Canyon, such as Sedona, the Painted Desert, Sunset Crater, the Lava Tubes (an underground cave system formed by lava, bring a flashlight), and still more.
