About Me

I'm an international student in Neosho County Community College, Chanute, Kansas. I am eager to travel interesting places and cities in the US, meet new people and learn more about the world!

Originally, I am from Krasnoyarsk, a city surrounded by mountains and forests in Eastern Siberia, Russia. Ready to share my experience of living in a very cold place where you can encounter a bear just 20 minutes drive from the city (yep, sometimes the stereotypes are true).

I am a huge hiking fan, I enjoy the nature and beautiful views. I'm also really passionate about musicals and art. My hobbies include drawing, singing, swimming, biking, knitting, photography and some little crafts I do from time to time. I also play two musical instruments: guitar and piano.

I'm majoring in Lingustics, English studies, and I learn French as well so I will be happy to discuss languages and cultural backgrounds with you.

my instagram is @salmondashi if you want to contact me there

I really like detective, science fiction and fantasy movies and books. I prefer to read something by Ray Bradbury, Alexander Dumas, Arthur Conan Doyle and John R. R. Tolkien.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went rock climbing in Yergaki nature park and actually succeeded in climbing 2 km tall mountain!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm excited about cultural exchange, learning about different countries and regions first-hand and telling people about my home.

A view on Russian culture from the inside, some interesting things about language, tips how to learn it, national food recepies and some souvenirs.
