Overview
About Me
Hello dear friend. My name is Daria. I live in amazing city Kyiv.
The sense of my travels is not a place but a way to see things in a new view.
I know that now few of tourists go to Ukraine, but if you plan to visit Kyiv for work or as a tourist at such time, I would like to be your guide or host and show you my favorite city in wartime from my view.
I have a safe place at home if there is bombing, batteries in case there is no electricity and the Internet is always working
Philosophy:
Tourists see what they want to see, travelers see what they see.
My formula is 60% of a tourism and 40% of a traveling. First days in new city I try to not read any information about the city and explore new place by a random way. The point is to have no expectations and see the place as it will open up for me. Only after that I learn information about the city and make a list of attractions.
Whatever it is, it will be a good story.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The best side of traveling is to be able to experience everyday things as if for the first time, to be in a position when which almost nothing is familiar.
Also couhsurfing friends help me to learn English. I want to speak English well to be able to meet interesting people and talk not only about weather but understand their views on life.
Interests
I like parties, raves and music festivals but I also like small warm meetings.
I enjoy hiking. I like mountains most of all. If you also like active rest, we will have something to talk about.
I like Kyiv. I leave from here only to undestood it is the loveliest city.
