About Me

Hi, I'm Daria, a girl with loves for travelling, meeting new people, making (international) friends. I'm into art, alpacas and food (both cooking and eating).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd like to find places that are special for some people and have interesting story behind them. I think that meeting with locals will give me that opportunity so that I could see the place not only as a tourist, but also as them, therefore making my travel experience even more valuable and just simply awesome.

Music, Movies, and Books

Right now I'm into Joywave, Portugal. The Man, but my heart belongs to RHCP, the Weeknd, Arctic Monkeys (except for 'Suck it and see' album, it really sucks). To be honest I'm into most of the kinds of music, I just need a good recommendation and the sense that it makes me (or even another person- btw. I'm very empathetic) feel in a certain way, that's worth it. Movies in (extreme) short: I'm obsessed with Friends, HP (I was raised on that movies), Sherlock, Stranger Things and Tarantino (not to extend, I'm still exploring his work); I could watch all of them to infinity and still enjoy them. Since I'm in love with visual things, I watch movies much more than I read books. I've read many, but it's hard to tell which ones I like the most. Maybe Lolita by Nabokov, One flight over cuckoo's nest by Kesey, Red Dragon by Harris. But still, there are hundreds of books that I want to read and movies that I'd like to watch._..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I graduated IB and went to USA (only for 1 year, but still, big step for me)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Empathy, but also sarcasm (not everytime, don't worry). Good food (I can even cook and bake, I really love that). Polish culture and words (that can be useful in eg. Chicago). I'm a good listener and it's really pleasurable to just listen to others, ask questions, let them share everything they want to and appreciate it.
