About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Exploring Baltimore and making friends!
ABOUT ME
I am a painter. I finished Masters degree at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine arts last year and spent the past year as a resident of Utica, NY for an artist residency at PrattMWP. I just moved to Baltimore to start an amazing teaching position and realized that I do not know anyone in the city, and wanted to get a head start on making some friends.
I spend a lot of time drawing, reading and building myself a rainforest in my apartment. I have a passion for figurative painting and storytelling and have an appreciation for almost anything historic.
I am fond of museum trips and going to the opera, or simply biking the streets discovering new possibilities. I love to go to farmers markets to dream up new recipes to treat my friends. I scour second hand bookshops for a good edition of a Tolstoy, Austen, or Charles Dickens whenever I pass one. I love a good adventure, I am not a hiker, but I will hike, not a climber but I will scale a waterfall, not a swimmer but will gladly get into a kayak on the sea.
I just learned how to ride a bicycle last summer, and have been obsessed with riding since then. I have been biking to Towson for work everyday...thats an excuse to eat ice cream when I get home right? In general, I would love to find someone who bikes in the city to explore Baltimore with me.
I will admit to being a touch awkward and very bubbly. I wear dresses almost every day and sing and dance when I am alone in the elevator. I am quirky and loyal to the people in my life.
I listen to an eclectic mix of music including motown, opera, and the contemporaries. My choices are based on voice and a beat that matches my walking speed.
PHILOSOPHY
You can probably figure it out if you aren't afraid to talk about it.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy 18th and 19th century literature: Dickens, Bronte, Austen, you name it. Some of my favorite books have been Les Liaisons Dangereuses, Jane Eyre, Little Women, The Agony and the Ecstacy and the likes. I read a lot of color theory, drawing books and artist monographs. Of late, I have been sifting through an art history text book to prep for my lectures.
I like a variety of movies from comedies to thrillers and slasher flicks and the occasional animated disney situation.
I listen to Motown and Opera and whatever else comes across my ear with a rhythm and a decent voice.
