About Me

Hi :) My name is Daria and I am 23 years old. I was born in Łańcut - a lovely town in the southern Poland. My city is famous for very well-preserved, magnate castle and a large park. When the weather is nice you can spend the whole day there. A few years ago I started to study in Warsaw. I’m currently in Split, Croatia on Erasmus. I could never sit still in one place. I have lots of ideas in a minute, but unfortunately, not always manage to make them happen. I get inspired from every new places. But when I get home, I’m always a little bit touched. I dream of seeing Australia and to bungee jump.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This is just the beginning of my adventure with couchsurfing. I like meeting new people and listening to their stories- in the evenings to sit and talk about life. I do not have much experience, so I hope to get some advice about travelling.

Interests

I try to enjoy the small things, because of that I’m often very happy :) I've heard that people who often smiles live longer, so I recommend it! I love to look at the sky: billions of stars, sunrises and sunsets, puffy clouds, various shades of blue and planes (!) (always makes me wonder just who is flying the plane, where and why...). I like hiking in Bieszczady - not high, polish mountains. It is overgrown with forests and looks fantastic in the fall. You should devote a few days to take some trails there.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to all kinds of music, depending on my mood (except heavy metal). I know many polish performers. I have romantic soul and my heart is always full of melancholic songs. Interestingly always they give me a lot of energy :D In my library prevail historical books, stories of people from the time of the war, their feelings, thoughts. And maps and guides! As I sit at home, I usually map out a route with my finger :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am still waiting for the most amazing thing in my life…

Teach, Learn, Share

Each of us has a lot of talents, so I’d like to learn from you everything that you can offer, for example: baking new cakes (I'm foodie :P) or learning new card games. I’m a fast learner ;) I like to cook and bake, so I can reveal you some recipes for traditional Polish dishes.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I do not have good accommodation conditions to offer but contact me and maybe we can figure something out. Depending on the city, to which you arrive (Łańcut, Warsaw, Split) and if I’ll be there, I will try to show you the most interesting things: local food, a place full of history and the perfect pubs. Additionally, you will find beautiful beaches of Split and clear sea.
