About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To see the world and tell stories about it
ABOUT ME
It's hard to tell everything :-)
I was born in a tiny "scientist town" halfway between Moscow and St. Petersburg (if these names mean something to you ;-)) by the Volga river in the midst of picturesque swamps flooded with mosquitoes.
After feeding them for the first 4 years of my life moved to Moscow... but when I feel nostalgic of that peculiar picking feeling, I jump on a train and go back.
At 17, I joined MSU to learn Chinese language, history, and culture (don't ask me, why ;-)).
I traveled pretty much with my family on holidays and alone. Spent pretty much time in Brazil, Norway, Germany (Munich) and Canary Islands.
I've also spent a year in China, and have grown to like several places a lot (Shanghai, Yangshuo and HK most).
Always open for any offers and new knowledge.
A year ago I joined a European programme to study journalism as my Masters, and currently write freelance, and edit a travel section at Pendeia: international student platform.
If you need any advice or just want t chat and tell something about yourself- I'm always open for you :-)
PHILOSOPHY
The world is too beautiful to miss a single bit of it and too complicated to try and understand it. So just enjoy, and never complain.
If there is God, he ought to have a divine sense of humor :-)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I surf most of the time- but I hosted twice, too.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Surfed several times, and it was really nice.
Hosted two couchsurfers when had this opportunity, too.
Interests
Traveling it the biggest interest. And everything that goes with it: history, culture, books, films, going out, meeting people... And also rock climbing, cycling, windsurfing, cooking, eating, drinking, dancing, music, psychology, gossiping, telling stories and writing them down, learning languages and teaching Russian

Love world classics (except for Dostoevsky), great fan of Tolkien, Agatha Christie, Chekhov, Mann, Hesse, Mishima, L. Tolstoy, Chinese classics
Hard to choose the favourite movie, but I really like "Black Swan", "Lord of the Rings", "Amelie", "Matrix" (1 and 2), "The Good Year", "The Girl on the Bridge", "Everthing Illuminated"
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Watching the world's most magnificent waterfall in Iguacu for a whole day. And listening to it's rumble from a rope net suspended on a tree.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach languages, beadwork, silk-painting, swimming, ice skating.
I'd love to learn to write good articles, Spanish, dancing, kite-surfing, cooking some new dishes. And whatever I've never thought about.
