关于我
Hi everyone! My name is Daria (or Dasha) and my main occupation for now is studying. Actually, i'm studying history and anthropology at Higher School of Economics at Saint-Petersburg. My basic interests are concentrated in the sphere of beliefs, religious and secular, the imagination and magical practices in historical perspective. Yeah, I entered programme on history because here I can study magic and do it is some sense :)
My second passion is mountains. I'm ready to overcome a great distance to enjoy their view that is never the same. Furthermore, I'm practicing rock climbing when I have possibility and, maybe, one day I will conquer my peak.
我为什么加入 Couchsurfing
I'm time after time traveler who trying to learn more about the world and people, inhabiting it. Now I don't have a lot of time for travelling for I'm studying at the uni, so I appear on this site not often. However, I wanna learn more about the world through my own experience, therefore when I have any possibility to travel abroad I do it. Hope, Couchsurfing will help me to make new friends around the world and to enrich my mind and, maybe, to share my knowledge also. Actually, I just follow Tolkien's words:
The road go ever on and on
Down from the door where it began
Now far ahead the door has gone
And I must follow if I can...

音乐、电影和书籍
I'm interesting in music, especially if there are some local bands or singers. Honestly, my musical tastes are quite incoherent for I'm not keen on particular bands or genres. As for movies, I will be pleased to watch some not so popular in a global scale films produced in the host’s country. Personally, I adore ‘Solaris’ by Tarkovsky, ‘Night on Earth’ by Jarmusch and ‘The Seventh Seal’ by Ingmar Bergman. My relationships with literature are quite complicated for now for there is no time to read anything besides historical scientific literature. But as history is kind of fiction also :) Maybe, I can mentioned some books I've read previously but still adore them for now: "The Name of the Rose", "The Prague Cemetery" by Eco, "The Art of Loving" by Fromm, "The Autumn of the Middle Ages" by Huizinga
Bradbury's short stories
