About Me
hi/ciao/salut/привет/hallo🫶🏻
I was born in Russia. since than I lived in America for quite some time and for the past three years I am in Italy, currently based near Florence:)
I am pursing a Master's degree in English and American Studies in Rome because I like to read and write:) I want to become a full-time writer one day
when I graduate here, I want to apply for a PhD in America:) so fingers crossed🤞🏼
as for my lifestyle, it is nomadic. I am always travelling and never settling down in one place. my dream is to see (and to show to my daughter) the whole world before I die
we also have two cats (one male ginger cat and one female grey cat), named Apollo and Hera. they always travel with us as well! in fact, both my daughter and my cats have been travelling with me since the day they were born
I was vegan for more than 5 years but lately my food choices are rather vegetarian than vegan (I eat fish very often and occasionally I may eat chicken as well while giving preference to vegetable food most of the time)
I am also pansexual meaning that I do not see a difference between “genders” and can get attracted to any human being
that’s it, I guess🕊️
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe that traveling should be made accessible to everyone as it is the best way to grow
when we are traveling, we meet all kinds of different people. this way our horizons truly expand and we get to know diverse lifestyles, habits and, of course, cultures
Interests
in my free time I usually either read or write
I also enjoy spending time outside – exploring parks, museums and galleries as well as getting to know new people outside
I practice yoga as well as just plain stretching (when I can)

Music, Movies, and Books
my favorite movie of all times is "Meet Joe Black" (I can't count how many times I have rewatched it!). I also really love Miyazaki's animes (especially Howl's Moving Castle and Spirited Away). And my favorite documentary of all times is "Home"
as for books, I don't even know where to start... my favorite non-fiction book is "A New Earth" by Eckhart Tolle. I truly believe everyone should read it at some point in their live
as for the fiction books, I'd say there are many which I appreciate. If we're talking periods, then I'd choose American literature of 1910-1920s, Ancient Greek literature and Leo Tolstoy
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
one of the most memorable things I have ever done which immediately comes to mind is the birth of my daughter, Adele
this day I will forever remember and I'd say it beats all the other crazy things I have done in my life haha
Teach, Learn, Share
actually, I teach languages professionally so I could help my hosts with English and/or Russian, if they are interested:)
I'd love to learn more about the countries/cities where I'd be staying or else to just have a nice chat about life and previous experiences (as I believe it to be as valuable, if not more)
