My passions are travel, rock climbing, skydiving and photography. I'm driven by challenges strive to be better than I was yesterday. At the end of the day, if I can sit back where ever I am and know that I'm happy with what I'm doing and who I'm with... then that's all I really need.

I can be a quiet person at first depending on who I'm around but I warm up quickly. My friends would describe me as a bit of a goof sometimes, I can poke fun at myself just to get a laugh and make people smile. I can also say super lame things sometimes... but please, don't hold it against me. At the end of the day I really enjoy meeting new people, sharing experiences and stories about life while laughing as much as possible. I really enjoy deep conversations about life, I think that's the best way to learn; through sharing experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to see the world and interact with all you good hearted people out there. People that encourage chasing life and lifting others up. To see countries through the eyes of the people who live there, not the hostel experience.

Interests

I like to watch sunsets with good company around a fire, I think it invokes the most pure conversations.

I enjoy rock climbing, photography and skydiving and would spend the day doing any of those 3 things without hesitation.

Animals make me smile, even the crazy little hairless ones.

I enjoy music of any kind and always want to hear other peoples playlists.

I thoroughly enjoy abandoned places... in a totally non-creepy way. I love seeing the buildings that society has left behind in their final form. If you know of any locations in your area I would love to hear about them :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Literally anything except for Nickelback... Some examples would be David Bowie, SUM 41, Ben Howard, Damien Rice, Our Lady Peace, Jake Bugg, Terry Jacks, Jon & Roy, Eddie Vedder, 21 Pilots, Tragically Hip, The National. You get it.

I'll watch almost anything at least once... some of my favorite movies are Donnie Darko, Into the Wild, To Save a Life, McConkey and most recently The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My Sailing Trip through the Whitsundays & Great Barrier Reef from Airlie Beach to Maryborough for 30 days.
I was a perfect example of right place, right time.
My friend and I had the intent to get on a sailing boat in Airlie Beach. We arrived and decided that because we had a long drive that a nap was in order. We were napping under a tree by the marina when I woke up to two little dogs in my face. I immediately started petting them and this older hippy lookin' guy was strolling over.
He introduced the dogs in saying "She's the Captain, he's the first mate... I'm just a deckhand"
So I asked "Are you looking for two more Crewmembers?"
He sat down and said "Why yes I am!"
And two days later we were sailing! I saw some of the most incredible pieces of nature, explored abandoned islands & resorts, challenged myself in inexplicable ways and I grew in ways I couldn't have imagined.
