About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to stay cool forever and ever
ABOUT ME
I'm an English teacher, so I love/hate kids. It depends. (On their quantity per square meter/number of chocolate boxes given to me for Teacher's Day/amount of sedatives I took that day). Just kidding, I think kids are great! (an effect of Stockholm syndrome, probably)
I'm really intelligent, though sometimes it's hard to tell. (Like, I will quote Walt Whitman at you and discuss the impact of Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, and then totally laugh at the word "geyser")
I enjoy musical tourism, a term I coined myself (that most definitely preexisted for years).
I also enjoy putting words in brackets.
PHILOSOPHY
I prefer to spend money on memorable journeys rather than material things (though cashmere sweaters are nice too)
Interests
wandering in the city, cooking new exotic dishes (I'm rubbish at cooking everyday-normalpeople-simple dishes though), linguistics, musical festivals, not taking photos

Music, Movies, and Books
Think everything Edgar Wright has ever done is immensely cool.
Appreciate the genius of "The Kinks".
Find comfort in gloominess and bleakness of Russian literature (Dostoevsky = one love).
Among other favourite things:
all films of Wes Anderson, Scorsese, Richard Linklater. "Almost Famous". "The Office (US)". "Flight of the Conchords". Old and new britcoms. Star Trek.
Anything by Damon Albarn/Jack White. Belle & Sebastian. David Bowie (esp. Berlin period).
"The Goldfinch" by Donna Tartt. Discworld series by Terry Pratchett (esp. Guards storyline).
