Overview
About Me
Hello! I'm Darik, a Dutch from Switzerland currently living in Taiwan. Living in a foreign countries is great fun and sometimes challenging, something I genuinely enjoy. Cultural exchange and communication are fascinating to me, especially the contrast between global perception and local reality. That's one of many reasons why I study International Management.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to have lived in/experienced South East Asia to the fullest. I want to have seen some of its nature, felt the vibe of its cities and met people who characterise this amazing and fascinating region. I'm planning on travelling different counties through out my exchange year in Taiwan.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favourite book is The Invented Reality by Paul Watzlawick, although my favourite author is Max Frisch. Hiking is an activity I particularly enjoy and synergises with another hobby of mine photography perfectly. I like to take photographs of the landscapes and wildlife. Last but not least, I enjoy cooking and would describe myself definitely as a foodie.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good company and a great time. I've got a positive attitude and I'm very interested people; their stories, knowledge, believes, activities and all the other fascinating things they do. So tell me about you and I'll listen to what you have to say! And no worries, I like to talk as well and don't feel shy to tell you about it, if you like.
