ABOUT ME

I'm a graduate student in history just getting ready for comps. I'm 26, love playing the guitar, and spend most of my time reading or writing about the wonderful world of history. When I travel, I don't do it for relaxation or rest, but to find out more about the world by engaging with the local culture. I'm always up for an adventure, especially when it isn't planned. I'm really easy-going (perhaps to a fault) and spend my days concentrating on the macro rather than the micro.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couch surfed all over the place, just not through this site. I really only have one traveling rule: Always ask the locals for advice. It hasn't failed me yet.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've stood in the room where Luther translated the Bible, sat on the top of the pyramids at Teotihuacan, circled the sands at the Roman Coliseum, looked out atop the Eiffel Tower, watched live music in Nashville, crossed the river Thames, and seen the ivy at Wrigley.

Wherever I go, the guitar comes with me. Also, 90% of my life revolves around history, so I'm good with useless knowledge and trivia.
