ABOUT ME

I am an educated person, I speak fluently English and Spanish. I can also communicate in Italian. I have lived in California (college years), Madrid (recently) and Tehran (as a child). I've worked as a professional writer in the High Tech Industry (I can provide a link to my Linkedin on request). I've also had a short (1 year) music career in Italy (though I didn't live there)(you can verify this by typing the title of one of my songs "Buongiorno Fino A Quando Servo" or visit my youtube channel http://bit.ly/youdario ). I've traveled most of the tourist attractions of the world ( http://www.dariointernet.com/travel.html) . I love pets and I am very quiet and like it quiet. My real name is what is in the profile, except with the last name I've taken the vowels out! I didn't go thru the verification process because it sends a postcard and by the time it would arrive, I would be already gone. But upon request I can provide links, facebook and upon arrival show you my ID and give you a copy :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

After living in Spain for many years, I have decided to pack my suitcase and leave in order to find work. So I'm traveling through various countries while looking for work. I go to hostels but if I can stay at someone's place instead of throwing my savings away, it would be greatly appreciated. I cannot provide a place in exchange, as I left my current place in order to find a new country to live in. But as I mentioned in the "All about you" section, I can chat with you on my experiences traveling around the world, my experiences as a professional musician, a little bit about the hi tech industry -though not that much - Or chat you about the 3 countries I've lived in (California - U.S.- Spain, Iran). If you have a pet, I can walk it for you or give you English conversation if you need .. (oh Spanish too, if that is worth anything). I am very appreciative and will definitely take the time to leave references. I'm a bit shy about sending surf request, since I'm new here. I post my itinerary and hope somebody will see it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I've been a surfer (because I'm looking for work in a new country) and have been hosted by 3 marvelous people. The experience has exceeded by far my expectations. I've learned that fears I had of being too old, or not being "tourist" enough, were unfounded. You make friends you otherwise wouldn't make. You get to talk more profoundly with people and learn a lot of things about local life, and their life experience in general.

Interests

I like listening to people's career path and advices. Love to hear small business ideas. Love to hear about people starting life in a new country. Budget travel experiences. Pets ...love it.. Self help topics, though it would be a bit odd with someone new. Musicianship experiences with other musicians. (There are somethings I will disappoint you on, for example, cooking I have no idea about, books -> I'm a writer of technical things but I wouldn't sit and read a novel. TV and movies I have no idea because I don't have a TV. Programming, java and the sort, not good at it at all. Topics about environment and global warming are valuable but I see other priorities and that is why I never got interested in them.)

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't watch movies for different reasons. When I was younger I would watch the sort of Antonioni, Pasolini ..Jafar Panahi, Majid Majidi. But for the last 7 years I haven't watched TV or Movies. I'm not a book reader. I've written technical books, but I don't read books. Music, I've been a musician, but I actually I listen probably less to music than most people. Sorry not into Rap and don't know much about Jazz or Classical. I don't like music being played while I'm talking with someone.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It was exciting when I visited Uzbekistan! http://bit.ly/darbuxoro
Personally as a musician when my song "buongiorno fino a Quando Servo" went viral, it was a major achievement http://bit.ly/financialda
