About Me

CURRENT MISSION To be happy, I think is as simple as that. I love to listen people life stories and discover new places. ABOUT ME Who am I? Ok, let’s see. I’m a traveler, I’m a dreamer, I’m a friend. I think that it’s easier to define me as a person who is always looking for new adventures, new knowledge and new people. I was born in Mexico City, one of the largest and most interesting metropolis around the world. When I was a child my two biggest passions were drawing and writing, until I made my first solo trip to Oklahoma City (exchange program); it was a fantastic experience! From that moment on I felt in love with traveling. I’ve been fortunate to visit some amazing countries. Also, I’ve enjoyed three fantastic soccer world cups in Germany, Brazil and recently in Russia, no doubt those were the three single best trips of my whole life. I majored in communications but my real love has always been arts, I still plan on doing that, meanwhile life has taken me to some strange places: graphic design, animation, history and illustration. When I was in college I had a little business that distributed trading card games, then I worked as a copywriter for Google, Kellogg's and Coca-Cola. PHILOSOPHY I can’t be in the same place for a long time, that’s the same reason why I can’t study or work in the same job for years. Yeah, I know, that can be strange for most of the people, but I like to rediscover the world everyday, maybe to get to know a little bit of everything (that’s my ultimate impossible goal, lol). I really think that the only (ethereal) item you take to the grave are your life experiences, and that’s what I try to collect, I’m sure you don’t get that for staying behind the same desk for thirty years. So, the first ability you need to learn is to be humble, every person around you has the power to teach you something and change your life, it’s just a matter of listening and opening your mind. That’s what I currently try to live everyday: meet amazing new people.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I will attend every sincere request. I’m open to help you discover my country, to get you in touch with new cool people and friends, to be your host so you live the best possible experience. I know that if I manage to do that, the universe will conspire to make me live the same thing in the future.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have none, but I'm looking to begin as soon as possible!

Interests

I like to talk, read, draw, write, paint, sing, play music, play poker, meet new people, make new business, eat (of course!), dance, go to the movies & theater, attend museums, watch TV series and travel (a lot).

Music, Movies, and Books

It doesn't matter as long as I learn (watch or listen) something new.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

6 things I’m proud of:

- Having started my own business and running it succesfuly for 8 years.
- Having watched a shark 5 meters away in open water with no protection.
- Having sung in a favela‘s church.
- Having lived for two months in Brazil with no money (in 2014 worldcup).
- Having gone to 1000+ parties.
- Having met amazing people from five continents.

Teach, Learn, Share

I think the best thing to teach is to offer someone more ways to travel, that’s why I’m willing to give lessons of Mexican art craft (mostly paper made), if interested google “alebrijes”. Also I think I can be helpful at teaching some Spanish.
Of course I would like to learn anything art related!
