Hello!
My name is Darius, a Singaporean currently living in the UK to pursue my university education. I'm energetic, keen to learn and experience new things, and overall quite easy to get along with :). I'm completely open to new cultures and beliefs, and would love to have open discussions about such topics. I love the outdoors, and this love has only grown deeper after coming to the UK and being able to hike an endless amount of trails. Excited to see more of the world, both its natural beauty as well as the beauty of its people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing mainly to experience new cultures! This was a completely foreign concept to me initially, but after reading more about it, i'm sold. Nothing beats immersion into another culture than actually spending time with people from those cultures. After all, there's only so much you can read from a book. I seek experiences, and i believe that couchsurfing is the way to do it.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to just about any music that my ears take a fancy to! No specific genre, though i tend to stray towards rock and pop. To be honest, the same applies to movies and books as well! I tend to prefer fantasy/mythology or science fiction genres (Harry Potter and Star Wars come to mind), but I also appreciate films like the Shawshank Redemption, which i watched recently and absolutely loved.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've left my home country to live in a completely foreign land for 2 years to pursue my education, completely alone and without anyone from home coming along with me.
