Overview
About Me
Hi! My name is Darla, and I'm a currently traveling filmmaker and video artist. I just wrapped up working on an independent feature film (in a marina in NYC on a boat!). I'm finishing up some freelance work and traveling back to Boston in the near future !
I love working with children; my past work has included working for a non-profit org as an educator in sound engineering and stage management. I have a background in film, music and radio. I most enjoy working with musical artists!
I am passionate about yoga, living healthy, meeting new people and exchanging ideas, passionately engaging in conversations while drinking tea/coffee and yummy pastries/donuts.
I create structures out of crocheting, love dogs especially newfoundlands, akitas, and boxers. I'm a big cat lady as well, watching live music, comedy and films.
I'm really good at making dumplings and can teach you too!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I just wrapped up working on an indie feature film in the Bronx, where I was living on a boat! I was living in Bushwick where my sublet ended and I decided to move closer to the film location due to the long commute. I am wrapping on some freelance work, and then traveling back to Boston!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
