Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have yet to do any couch surfing, so I'm excited to participate! I love to travel and meet new people, so the possibilities are endless. In the future I hope to host, but right now I am not able to.

Music. I listen to and appreciate most music, but I love folk, indie, alternative rock, classic rock, electronic,
Traveling. I'm working as a tour guide right now, so I appreciate locals and their inherent information significantly more than I did before. I love to learn about places and people.
Chinese. I love the language, and I love meeting people from China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and anywhere else. I love the accents and I can read both Simplified and Traditional.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've spent three summers working in Alaska and the Yukon as a tour guide, bus driver, and dispatcher/supervisor. I love the scenery, and I love meeting new people on a daily basis.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I can teach someone the basics and structure of Mandarin language. I could teach you characters too, but those are very hard to learn in a brief period of time.
I can teach you how to create ambigrams of your name or anything else. I dabble in graphic design and calligraphy as well.

Learn: I want to learn how to be better at cooking. And if you are a native Chinese speaker, teach me your ways and correct me! I love music, but I don't play any instruments. I'd like to learn the basics of anything, if you're willing to teach me.
