About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Step foot in and learn about as many places as possible, make friends from around the globe and ultimately create a life that feels good on the inside.
PHILOSOPHY
“The problem, often not discovered until late in life, is that when you look for things in life like love, meaning, motivation, it implies they are sitting behind a tree or under a rock. The most successful people in life recognize, that in life they create their own love, they manufacture their own meaning, they generate their own motivation. For me, I am driven by two main philosophies: know more today about the world than I knew yesterday. And lessen the suffering of others. You'd be surprised how far that gets you.” - Neil deGrasse Tyson
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Whenever I travel, I love to immerse myself in the place as a local instead of being a tourist. There's no better way to do that than to meet the people who live there. I love learning about people - where they came from, their unique life experiences, and where they intend to go.
Although I haven't yet had the opportunity or pleasure to host or surf, I am really looking forward to it and have upcoming trips to Seattle, Portland and Ireland in 2016.
Interests
I've been very fortunate to travel a lot the past few years, and I've come down with a serious case of terminal wanderlust, so traveling is at the top of my interest list right now. I am also in constant pursuit of crossing items off my 10-mile long bucket list.
You can always find me reading, writing, nestling into a coffee shop, listening to music, hiking, kayaking, drinking red wine, researching my next tattoo and, of course, laughing & surrounding myself with the people I love. I also have a recent obsession with wanting to build a tiny house.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I can't just name one - life has been very good to me.
Skydiving...four times.
Cliff jumping
Ziplining
Getting to tell my mom how much I loved her before she passed away, and getting to feel her presence every day.
Road tripped from NJ to Nashville to Little Rock to Austin and back with my best friend before she and her husband decided to start a family.
Spent a week in NYC entirely by myself and learned more about myself in one week than in years.
Purchasing a home before the age of 25
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach me your language, teach me your culture, teach me your unique perspective on life.
I am an open book and will share anything you'd like to know about me!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I always pick up after myself, and would make the bed, clean dishes, help cook meals and help clean your home. I would love to have my host show me the area and help me live like a local during my stay.
I can also offer my undeniable wit and hopefully provide some laughs (usually at the expense of myself).
Finally, on a bit more personal note, my girlfriend and I often travel together, so I ask that any hosts or surfers be LGBT-friendly.
