About Me
Hi, my name is Darren, I'm 26 I am keen to travel the world on my bicycle.
I'm an easy going guy with a great zest for life. Very sociable and eager to meet people from all walks of life. I love football, hiking, kayaking, food, wildlife, volunteering and I'm trying to get better at photography, and writing.
I suppose it's fairly obvious that I love travelling too :p
Being British, I am impulsively polite and respectful. I would love to meet like-minded individuals and find out more about your town/city/country. I don't smoke, I don't have any allergies and I'm not vegetarian.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm couchsurfing because I am currently on a world cycle tour with my girlfriend Izzy. We believe it to be one of the best ways to travel because it's at a slow enough pace to not miss out on the cool stuff. And you get to meet local people.
If you'd like to find out more about the Cycle2Conserve expedition, please visit our blog - www.cycle2conserve.com
Couchsurfing gives us the opportunity to meet local people and to learn, firsthand, about the town/city/country we find ourselves in. Making friends is also one of the best things you can do while travelling and we hope that we can make many friends through couchsurfing. :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Huge fan of the Game of Thrones books. Best thing I've read. I like reading travel stories and fantasy fiction. Musically, anything goes, from heavy metal to country music. I'm a big movies fan too, couple of favourites include Lucky Number Slevin and Gladiator.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Skydived over Mission Beach in Australia
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm happy to share with you my tales from the road. If you want to find out more about cycle touring.
Cultural exchanges too, if you want to find out what life is like on a small country farm in the middle of Wales, I'd be happy to share with you my experiences :)
I speak English fluently and I can photograph reasonably well so if you'd like to learn a little bit about either, I'd be more than happy to help. Also, Izzy speaks a little French!
