About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To eliminate the term "regret" from my vocabulary

ABOUT ME

I wanted to travel all over the world when I was a little kid, but then I forgot about my dream after I "grew up." Now, almost 30, I've rediscovered my passion to explore the world, and am starting this year!

I consider myself a pretty personable guy...most people seem to like me (I think?). I've got a dry sense of humor (theonion.com is the greatest website ever) and love to have in-depth conversations on just about anything, from movies to politics to sports to philosophy. There are so many perspectives I have yet to incorporate in my life!

I've done a lot of things in my life. Here are a few:

-I've acted in plays, short films, and a commercial!
-I've been a barback and a waiter
-I've worked in research in the lab and the clinic
-I taught 9th grade Biology and 10th grade Chemistry
to students at an Orthodox Jewish School
-I've worked as a photobooth attendant

And there's more that I can tell you about! Anyways, the point is...been there, done that!

PHILOSOPHY

We only get older, not younger. Do everything you want to do...we all make mistakes along the way. The most important thing is to learn from them, and not be afraid of making more.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I am only surfing, although I hope to host again soon!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Some very interesting ones, haha. But for the most part it's been amazing.

I hosted at my apartment in Brookline for a couple of years and had some great guests. I have Couchsurfed in Montreal, Washington D.C., and NYC. I hope to gain some international experience this year.

Interests

Basketball, having drinks with friends, good conversations, and just walking around amazing places and soaking everything in.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a sucker for spy movies, I love good television also (Showtime and HBO shows, House, etc)
To read: Hemingway, Tolstoy, and a lot of other classics.
I also like to read National Geographic (although I admit there are times where I just like to look at the awesome photography haha).
I like to listen to any type of music that sounds good to my ears...I do NOT like music snobs.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been in and around hospitals through my work for the past few years. There are a lot of people on their last legs at these places...but they're the ones living life to the fullest.
Why wait?

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to play sports and drink...anyone who is looking for company in these activities is welcome to let me know.
I'm also trying to become proficient in foreign languages. I'd particularly like to practice my French and Spanish...I'd be more than happy to help you with your English!
