Biomedical engineer, did some travelling for a year and a half, settled in Tullamore for the moment.
I work half 8 to 5 Monday to Friday. I'm happy to give people a key to let them into the house but can't really show people around until after 5.
I can normally pick you up as well as I work close to train staion/bus stop.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Regret not doing this in New Zealand so said I'd set up a profile now. Kind of settled and working for the moment so will probably be mostly hosting. Wouldn't mind keeping myself exposed to the travelling vibe as I want to do more of it in the future.

Interests

Gone pretty heavy into crossfit, like outdoorsy stuff, hiking and normal sports. Have my advanced scuba and done some dives here at home, but not very experienced.
Other than that like my pints and chilling. More a pub than a club type of person.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books- Discworld, game of thrones, Robin Hobb, comics lots of non-fiction.
Video games, movies and TV taste is probably too varied to list.
Music wise nearly any live band is fine by me.

Teach, Learn, Share

Seen a lot of Ireland, would like to think I could recommend some decent spots to see. Did an 18 day road trip in 2014 all around the coast.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Tullamore is quiet but has decent hikes around it, some nice pubs and would be definitely up for showing some places in driving distance. Tullamore is very central.
You just wanna chill and go for pints and some music then cool.
There is an open mic night on Tuesday (my favourite), traditional music on Wednesday and Thursday. Not much on Monday to be honest. Friday, Saturday would be the best nights out.
If anyone wanted to come training with me I can probably give you gym clothes!
