About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Ride my bike everyday

ABOUT ME

I've travelled to about 35 countries. I worked on a pirate radio station anchored in the Mediterranean off the Israeli coast during the 1991 Gulf War. I was the program manager at a campus radio station for about 13 years. I love cycling! I've been to India 4 or 5 times.

PHILOSOPHY

If you want to feel better, make someone else feel better. Works for me. Less is more

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I open my door and you open your door figuratively and in reality. Willing to share some insights into traveling after visiting over 30 countries starting in the mid 70's.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm new to CouchSurfing but I'm a veteran alternative/backpacker traveler. Although I've never formally CouchSurfed before I am a member of the oldest hospitality organization in the world. The organization is called Servas...it's been around for 60 years!! You'll find more information here: http://joomla.servas.org/ I've stayed with a couple of Servas members in India and hosted a couple of Servas members and loved it. Hoping for more of the same with CouchSurfing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was a DJ on a pirate radio station called the Voice of Peace during the first Gulf War. I produced an alternative travel program called Radio Outpost. You can download/listen to it here:
http://www.cjsr.ualberta.ca/news/news.php?s=radiooutpost . My wife and I rode our tandem up the east coast of Malaysia.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you want to learn a little about digital audio editing and how to make a podcast, I'm your guy. I've travelled a lot in India and coastal Mexico so I know of a few hidden gems. I'd like to learn more about computers and how to producing slide shows mixed with audio. I've done a bit but need to learn more.
