Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to meet other travellers in London, and also try couchsurfing on future travels. Once I have a suitable home I would love to host in the future too.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I have yet to experience couchsurfing first-hand. I have met many travellers who love the experience and recommended it to me, so I'm curious to try it out for myself.

Interests

Obviously travel is my main interest and I feel like my life is always in two parts: when I'm on the road, and when I'm preparing for the next journey. Otherwise I love hiking and walking, and have completed the 4daagse in the Netherlands a couple of times. I also love bungy jumping and playing the piano.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Hitch-hiker's guide to the Galaxy, 1984, Yes Man, Sherlock Holmes, anything by Bill Bryson

Music: Mostly rock, Guns N' Roses, Metallia, Muse, Kaiser Chiefs, Led Zepellin. Also really into piano music, such as Chopin, Debussy, Liszt, Rachmaninoff

Movies: Lord of the Rings, Clockwork Orange, Fight Club, war films, Zohan

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been lucky to see many things so far. The most recent one for me was completing the 4daagse in Nijmegen. 200km in four days, was an awesome experience.

Other ones in the past include:

Hiking in Switzerland in the amazing Lauterbrunnen valley

Watching the sun rise from the top of Adam's Peak in Sri Lanka

The Nevis bungy jump, and the beauty and solitude of Stewart Island in New Zealand. In face pretty much everything about New Zealand was amazing, my favourite country so far.

I'm a cocktail bartender by trade, so I can teach you how to make some pretty mean cocktails.
