Hi!
My name is Daryna and I loooove traveling. I visited many European countries, some on the other continents and even lived for a year in the USA! It was a very fun experience, but I still have a long way to go as I dream of getting to know as many cultures as possible.
Now I also participate in EYP sessions and doing other fun stuff, like debates

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really like to meet new people and discover new things and with Couchsurfing all of those things are so much easier to achieve. Also I know a lot of things about Kyiv and Ukraine (obviously, my home country) and I'd love to share my knowledge with others!

Music, Movies, and Books

Since my Film Studies class in the US, I really enjoy watching old movies, e.g. by Alfred Hitchcock and other directors of that period. My favorite movies are though “Climax” (don’t even let me start on that), “Parasite” and “Breakfast Club” . Nevertheless, I am open to any new genres and films I haven’t seen before.
As for the music, I enjoy mostly French pop like La Femme, Vendredi Sur Mer or Videoclub. I also enjoy post punk and synth pop music and can share with you some of my personal favorites.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lived in another country for a year without my family or friends, while still being 16.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you everything about Ukraine, including traditional dances and food. We can exchange stories and share experiences as I really like to get advice for my future trips.
