My name is Dasha, I’m Ukrainian and I adore traveling! :)
My first trip abroad was when I was just a little 7-years-old girl. My parents and I went to Turkey to have a rest, lay on the beach and listen to the sound of waves. Since then, we’ve traveled a little bit more both around Ukraine and to Africa and Europe.
When I was 16, I won an exchange program and went to the United States of America. I was living in the state of Wyoming (it’s not the most famous state, I know, but it’s charming and the Yellowstone National Park was in about 2 hours ride from my town)

As for now, I’m studying at the best University in Ukraine. My major is International Relations, so there is one more reason to host me - maybe I’ll become a famous politician or Ukrainian ambassador one day, and then you can say that you’ve hosted such a well-known person :D

Yeah, I’m laughing right now, and that is also one of my character traits - I’m a positive, smiling person and at the same time I can be serious and concentrated.

Let me bring a little Ukrainian atmosphere to your house - I promise, you’ll fall in love with my country! And I can teach you some funny Ukrainian words :D

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Traveling is my passion! I love it sooo much. My dream is to visit most of the countries (if not all) in the world. So the first step for me is to buy a scratch off map 😂
Why Couchsurfing? Because it’s the best way to meet locals, to get to know more special things about the country you’re staying in, to make new friends and contacts and to have fun! ;)

Oh, I can talk about music, movies and books for hours.
I’m a music lover, so that’s why I listen to different bands and singers. But my most favourite are Imagine Dragons (btw, I’ve been to their concert in Kyiv, it was the best thing I’ve ever seen in my life and I was the happiest person in the world at that moment), Ed Sheeran, Hurts, Alt-J, Adele, Arctic Monkeys, Coldplay, Billie Eilish, Dean Lewis, Florence + The Machine, Kwabs, Meghan Trainor, The Neighborhood, Panic! At the Disco, Passenger, Sam Smith, Twenty One Pilots, The Weeknd, Woodkid and X Ambassadors. Also I like Ukrainian music both folk and modern, so I can show you some if I you want!
And I’m a huge Eurovision fan, so we can discuss it!
My favorite film is “The Intouchables”, I always cry when watch it. Also I can watch “La La Land” and “The Notebook” 24/7 because of Ryan Gosling. But in general I watch everything, except horror and thrillers - I prefer more calm and relaxing movies 😌
I wish I had more time to read books, so during my studying terms, I can’t dedicate a lot of time to it, but will be very thankful if you recommend something interesting for me :)
