About Me

Asian by appearance, European at heart. And then many more dimensions of who I am.

Traveling is like magic, isn't it? It will surprise you and make you wonder.

Escapism in the form of travel can be liberating. We need to get away from our little boxes from time to time to remind ourselves of what life is really about. Choosing to do what is new and often scary to discover sides of you you didn't know you have. Choosing to be uncomfortable so that you can grow to become the person you want to be.

I feel like I learned a lot about myself and others through travel, yet I am and will be constantly learning in various ways. It seems like anything is possible in this world. There are no real limitations. My limiting beliefs are my boundaries and they're there to be overcome. They are like illusions, constructs of our own minds, and once you realise that, you can achieve whatever you want as long as you believe in yourself, act upon it with consistency and do not give up.

I believe in a world where we pursue more love, peace, kindness and understanding. Books, movies, genuine connections with others, vegetarian dishes and wine make me happy.

I overcame my aversion towards running by challenging myself to run a marathon in Barcelona (March 2018), which I accomplished after months of countless tears, sweat and blood...but what is more important, I had the privilege to raise funds for a British charity that is researching ways to cure people fighting cancer. Setting goals that allow me to grow but also help others in any way are very important to me. I believe in compassion and self-discipline, and that we all have the responsibility to care about the world. Equally, I believe that self-love/care is not selfish. We learn about ourselves by spending time on our own as well as by seeing ourselves in others.

UPDATE: 12 May 2019 - I ran my second marathon as part of a mental health awareness campaign and I will continue. If you want to join and run with me, message me! :)

Life is such a beautiful and unpredictable journey. I am trying to live my best life so that on my last day I can leave with no regrets.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

There are 7 billion people out there who knows something that you don't. I'm constantly learning and the best way to do that is through experience. We're all the same in the end, looking for our place in the world, for love and happiness. There is no better way to experience the beauty of life than by crossing paths with strangers from all walks of lives who have no reason to be nice to you, yet they are more than kind.

Teach, Learn, Share

Kind of my life motto:
"Be brave and take risks. You don't have to have it all figured out to move forward." Roy T. Bennett

Things you can learn with zero talent to live a better life:
1)BEING ON TIME
2)WORK ETHIC
3)EFFORT
4) BODY LANGUAGE
5) ENERGY!
6)ATTITUDE
7)PASSION
8)BEING COACHABLE
9) DOING EXTRA
10)BEING PREPARED

I'd rather be an optimist and be wrong than to be a pessimist and be right.
