About Me

First and foremost:
**I do NOT accept romantically involved couples of any gender. **

*** I do accept families on occasion, if the ages seem appropriate for this environment, as there are many obstacles here, and small children may be difficult to keep safe. ***

🚭There is absolutely NO SMOKING ANYTHING. This includes ALL types of smoking and ANY drugs.
Yes, canibis/Marijuana/whatever other name you want it to have, counts as a drug. If it is illegal to use it, don't bring it.

🚫🥃There is absolutely NO CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL on the property by any guests. Period. No exceptions. 🥃🚫

I have a ZERO TOLERANCE policy. You will leave immediately at your own expense, no matter what, if you violate either of these two rules.

😎😎 Top TEN "Selling" Points to Send You Packing!! 😱😱
(either to visit us or not!! 😂)

🏵 1. This private island LOCATION is VERY REMOTE and ISOLATED.
--We are located approximately 35 minute boat ride from Bocastown, on a daily shuttle boat that runs several trips a day, for $10/ per person and $10 to get to the property from the shuttle stop. You will be responsible for arranging this in advance, and will be given all the information on how to do that, it is easy.

🏝 2. The ISLAND is EXTREMELY SMALL and surrounded by mangroves.
--It is on my own SMALL MANGROVE private ISLAND (1/4 acre, oval shape), with ocean access off the dock, allowing you to swim in a huge and secluded private bay, with no other neighbors or boat driving by. There is a very tiny sandy area for kids to play, but NO BEACH.

🌌 3. We are in a HOT and sometimes VERY WET, TROPICAL JUNGLE biome.
--It is very hot here during the day. We generally encourage our visitors to be outside in the shade or the ocean during the day.

🐜 4. There are INSECTS here.
--There are LOTS OF
MOSQUITO/ NOSEEUMS, it is the tropics and in a wet jungle environment, plan accordingly if coming for a visit.

☕ 5. The accomodations are one twin sized floor mattress in the shared guest dome that is located next to the main house. It sleeps 2 people.

😎 6. There are FEW MODERN CONVENIENCES - There is a charging station for small portable electronics and limited WIFI during the daytime. There is no electricity in the dome. You will need to bring a light and a fan if you want them to use. There is currently no kitchen access. There is access to a microwave and a single burner electric stove with a small pot and a small pan with a lid and stirring spoon for cooking for short periods of time (under 10 mins). There is no refrigeration available for travelers. You should bring your own utensils, cup, and eating vessel. (recycling a water bottle for a cup, food containers and utensils from take out meals or jars from food you bought at the grocery store, are generally free in town) I recommend bringing sealed ready to eat meals, instant add hot water meals or fresh fruit and veg. There is a shared outdoor bathroom, but it will only work with a water delivery. The toilet can be flushed with sea water.

⛲ 7. You will BRING your own FRESH WATER for drinking and personal use OR you may DONATE TO the WATER FUND.

--We don't have free fresh water for travelers. I can arrange for a water delivery during your stay, but you will need to donate to the water delivery fund.

It is suggested that you bring 3-4 liters/day for drinking, plus 1-2 liter for cooking/rinsing yourself. 4 liters = 1 gallon.

How much water you use will depend on many things, such as....
*Temperature that day.
*How hydrated you were prior to arrival (note: you should try to be really well hydrated prior to coming out.)
*Your own body's water needs.
*If you were standing in the direct sun during the day, and for how long. (Staying shaded keeps your body cooler and you'll use less water.)
*What kind of food are you cooking?
Dry foods like beans, rice and pasta, use lots of water.
Canned foods, potatoes and fresh fruit & veggies do not.
Also cans can be burned in the fire and disintegrate. While a lot of dry foods usually come in plastic garbage wrapping, that you get to take with you when you leave. 😉

🛅 8. You will ARRANGE your own TRANSPORTATION by YOURSELF, IN ADVANCE.

-- This isn't UBER, and I'm not a travel agent. The cheapest way to get here is using the daily shuttle via Panabocas Express from Bocas or Chiriqui Grande. You can find their schedules, prices, contact, and reservation instructions on their Instagram page here. https://www.instagram.com/panabocasexpress/

When you arrive at Loma Partida you should ask the shop clerk if anyone can bring you here, don't pay more than $10. Agree to the price before getting in the boat. The store, where the shuttle drops you off, is only 3 miles from my island. Be sure to get the phone number/WhatsApp of the boat driver who drops you off here (or the shop clerk) from Loma Partida, as you will need them to come pick you up on the day you plan to leave here. You should arrange that in advance as well. I suggest arranging it before getting off the boat. Then you should follow up the day before you leave and an hour before they are supposed to pick you up. You need to be able to communicate in Spanish, if you don't speak Spanish, download a translator app that works offline.

☀ 9. You will TAKE ALL of YOUR TRASH and dispose of it ELSEWHERE, no exceptions.
--No, I do not want any empty anythings, you bring it, you take it and dispose of it somewhere else. They have trash and recycling bins in all the major towns. Including the one you are returning to, I do not take any trash, even empty containers. I have plenty and don't want or need more.

🌋 10. You will ENTERTAIN YOURSELF DURING your ABUNDANT FREE TIME.
--Believe it or not, I am not a tour guide. 😉 But I have a huge private bay for swimming and lots of different projects going on! 😁

This is NOT an experience for those who need hot water showers, a guided tour to keep them entertained, and air conditioning.
