ABOUT ME

I work with numbers but I long for people. For those who leave footprints in the heart, who don't pretend to be something they are not, who see life in colours that they can show to others.

1) My name's Daryana, not Daria. They both mean 'winner' but Daryana is rare :) You can call me Dasha for short.
2) I'm a kinesthetic... if I'm trying to touch you it means I like you.
4) The most important thing Mom has taught me is my optimism. I am always asked if I can be sad or angry

6a) My Mom is the most gorgeous woman I know
6b) One thing that The Most Gorgeous Woman has forgotten to teach me is that not everyone has to love me. No, really?
7) I believe that the two most serious problems people have are: 1. not saying aloud what they think and feel and 2. not listening to each other
8) One of my goals is to learn the two things above. Another one is to learn foreign languages - for no particular purpose, they just add colors to life. I'm struggling with Italian and am forgetting Romanian right now.
9) My favourite time of the day is between 11pm and 3am, it's the peak of my inspiration :) However I love my work so much that I often put up with being there by 6 am.
10) I prefer a company of 2-3 people/a concert to a party/disco
11) I believe the first impression is right in most cases
12) I easily fall: in love, out of love and under the influence of other people
13) I can't tell the difference between love and friendship because the latter is a very strong word for me
14) I like surprises when I don't know they're coming. I'm awfully impatient and very Gemini'sh

16a) The sexiest things for a man are: driving, cooking and playing with children

17) My bad habit is listening to one song until it makes me nauseous or until people around start threatening me. I also used to have smoking listed here as a bad habit but then I quit so now I have to think about something else to put here :)

19) I like the Russian people but I'm more patriotic about my city than about my country.
20) I hate jokes about bears, vodka and communists.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

To my great surprise my lovely newlywed husband managed to redirect all of my attention and enegry from CS to home, so in these days I'm mostly sandwiched between work and family. However I'm trying to involve him into CS activities to make a come-back, this time together :)

MUSIC.

I always have my ipod with me and I suffer when I get bored with all my music. I can listen to pretty anything (not a fan of electronic music though) but when I hear two-part singing I'm hypnotized like a rabbit by a python.
