About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Note: Bcn is a super touristic city, we recieve way too many requests, so:
- if you are planning your trip way ahead your arrival, well, it means we are not the same kind of travellers, but... HEY! It's not a pb :) but... I won't be able to confirm your request if you'll 'land' in more than a month. I ain't accepting it. I'm a rarely "super perfectly planned character" and more of a "go with the flow and all the surprises of a trip one".
- Very high probability, 99.999999991%, of cancelling it if you are just trying to get a room with no CS spirit community.
- You don't really need to read my profile to look for common interests or to say sth fun and original. Don't really care if it's a boring message, it's Ouh-Key. I know while travelling, to write several personalized CS can be really tiring. And please, you don't have to explain the trip you are doing or that will do since we'll get to know each other over here.
- Sometimes I would like to have a big damn house to host several (not all) of you at once. Since I don't, and if I already accepted sb else... life is life, right?
Danke parceros!!!

ABOUT ME

Hey! I'm David from a little town next to Barcelona. Travelling has become an essential part of my life. Discovering new places, new people, new cultures, new gastronomies, new traditions, adventures... myself...Every time I'm free I just try to go around with eyes wide open to learn and see. The more I travel, the more I realize it's a trip that will never end!
Apart from that, my other big passion is learning languages. Being able to communicate each time you go to completely different countries is awesome, a mark of respect and it makes it easier to enjoy with the others.
So... that's me, traveling/languages and having fun with family; friends; people I cross (who some of them became friends) is part of who I am!! :)

PHILOSOPHY

I had too much crappy life quotes here... I decided to erase it... Just, I love being very active with my life but also taking a good position in a hammock and resting there for a while.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I recently (a week ago) moved back to BCN from a mind blowing 2 months trip in Colombia, so I can host you, maybe, if I can get my shit together with the frigging work schedule

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had many experiences with couchsurfing: every host I had was terrific or it's just that the couchsurfer community spirit is worldwide!! I could enjoy meeting people in Paris, Helsinki, Latvia, Rome, Stockholm, Brasília, Belo Horizonte, Berlin, Salzburg. Many guests I had were also incredible, in Lille, Granada, Barcelona, Ljubljana, Paris, London...
Update: very weird guy from a town in Colombia hosted a friend and I in it's place. Left the following day. That was way to weird, seriously.

Interests

I enjoy doing some outdoor activities like hiking, go biking and climbing.
The way I enjoy the most in a trip is by walking till I can't feel anymore my legs with my fully packed oversized back-killer backpack. That's a way to simply find hidden-unforgettable paths/hills/lakes and come across new people/animals/trees. Having unexpected nice conversations in some panoramic sunsets, landscapes, etc.
I got hooked on new activities: climbing, playing instruments/music, I would like to start canyoning, learning yoga-meditating, circus activities and a big ETC.

Music, Movies, and Books

The shawshank redemption, Le concert, The Lord of the Rings, Captain Fantastic, Et maintenant on va où?, Les cheveaux de Dieu, Bab al-Hadid, One Piece, Samsara, The salt of the earth... many many maaaany other movies/filmmakers, etc
Bob Marley, Queen, the Police, LZ, Extremoduro, Bon Iver, Gypsi Kings, Marvin Gaye, Jose James, Alt-J, classical music, manoush, E.Piaf, instrumental, flamenco...
Mahfuz, Kerouac, Orwell, Galeano, Quiroga, E.Mendoza, Julia Navarro, Carlos R. Zafón, Amin Malouf, Sempé, Follet, Tolkien, Zakaria Tamer, Vilamatas and classics...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My first trip in Croatia and Bosnia (not the last one) with Eu and Javi. One of the best life experiences and souvenirs (though my memory is most of the times like the one of a goldfish).

Teach, Learn, Share

Try to be passionate with things you do, when you travel try to pass on good vibes when you speak; and listen to whatever they have to tell me.
I would like to do a hitchhiking trip in Australia and New Zealand.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Whatever I can offer, good environment in the house, nice chats, some food probably and a good joint if you'd like.

Countries I’ve Visited

Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Colombia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Morocco, Netherlands, Panama, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Vatican City State, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

France, Slovenia, Spain, United Kingdom
