Happy in retirement: gardening, cooking, landscape painting (acrylics), learning languages and visiting the world making new friends and renewing with old friends. I love the diversity, Everybody is unique, hence interesting.

Captain Corelli Mandolin: the book , more than the movie. Because I love the Italian and the Greek culture and this was a love story between the two.

Out of Africa: the movie, more than the book because it was about two cultures: the African and the Westerner European culture and it was about how men see the world differently than women do. Meryl Streep is a favorite female actress although there are many others I like: Helen Mirren, Maggie Smith, etc.

For male actors, I like Robert Redford when he played in Out of Africa.

I like jazz (1930, 1940, 1950), I like opera from Verdi to Mozart (not so much wager). I like classical music (Mozart and Bach especially).

I try to do one amazing thing everyday. The last one being a soup I concocted for friends yesterday: a mix of radishes, leeks and left over wine , among other things.
