About Me
Hi, I'm Dav (shorter and easier way to say my Welsh name!)
I am joining the couchsurfing community to be able to make the most of the places I visit, meeting interesting and local people are a sure way to get to know a city.
Recently moved to Melbourne from London and keen to meet locals and travelers to hang out with and maybe make new friends here in the city.
I would certainly describe myself as sociable and enjoy a few drinks whilst getting to know new people, my interests are quite broad so I know I will get along with most people just fine and hopefully make some friends along the way.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I used this app a lot whilst traveling in Australia and met some great people and shared some fun times, so I'm back again as I've moved to Melbourne recently and want to make friends from all over the world

Music, Movies, and Books
Broad music tastes, ranging from pop punk to dance and rock music. Found so much new stuff through Spotify so it is impossible to pin down my favourite type anymore!
Love a good movie night, action or comedy usually with a good mix of fantasy.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have been learning Spanish for the last couple of years, and although I would not describe myself as very fluent, I can hold a conversation and would love the opportunities to practice more.
On the other hand, I am native English speaker so I am happy to help anybody with their English if they are learning too. I have a lot of patience with it because I know it can be difficult and I have helped quite a few friends learn more English, especially the differences between American and English!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am an independent and social person. I don't need a lot of time if you can't spare any, just point me in the direction of the bar! I would be happy to make friends with new people and get tips on the city and discover how the real people live their lives there.
I am quite a techie, and into sports too, staying fit and have a broad interests so I can always offer some tech support or a friendly chat about anything at all is easy as I believe it is always important to keep an open mind, especially when meeting new people.
