I've lived in the UK for almost all my life, with a brief slot living in Washington DC. I'm a politics nerd, football (soccer) fan, music/gig lover, and a pretty good drinking buddy. I've travelled across Europe, and I'm now about to do the same across the USA. I'm about to start a PhD, and I want to fill my last few months of freedom with as many experiences as I can pack in.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm heading out on a trip across the USA to get away from the touristy hot-spots and see the 'real America'. Looking for friendly people who'll put me up for a night or two, and ideally want to show me some of their favourite spots.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - Main favourites are Classic rock, e.g. AC/DC, Led Zep, Foo Fighters, but I also enjoy some R&B, folk, country, and cheesy pop.

Movies - Nothing beats the Godfather, but I also love a good comedy, biopics, the Marvel comic book movies, and a good blockbuster.

Books - It's a tie between Crime and Punishment by Dostoyevsky, and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Currently reading The Wilderness by McKay Coppins.
