About Me

Hola!!

Im Dave and I'm a mexican traveler.

Life is more fun if you share it. Specially if you are as energetic as I am

I am a mountain guide/mechatronic engineer and I love doing outdoor activities (or any sport actually haha); and love to bring people to my adventures to show them a new lifestyle (youtube channel in development). From climbing to canyoning, I can't live without nature anymore. I think that is one of the best options to get in contact with yourself.

Apart from nature, I like to know about history, especially the places I visit. Travel around and see the point of view of a local. I think that even after years of living in one city you can still get surprised sometimes or know hidden and amazing places.

I am not always able to host, but if I have free time I'll be happy to hang out. If there's something I can help you with, don't hesitate to contact me.

Quote: “It’s a dangerous business, Frodo, going out of your door,” he used to say. “You step into the Road, and if you don’t keep your feet, there is no telling where you might be swept off to.” Bilbo from Lord of the Rings.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In my opinion, the best way to discover a city is through its people. That's why I think couchsurfing is the best tool to achieve this! I met many travelers from all around the world, so I decided to become one too.

If you come to my city I would love to take you to the best places around; and If I go to yours I would be open to go to awesome places you as a local know, or even discovering some new places. Adventure is waiting.

Interests

Hiking, camping, climbing, nature, movies, bike riding, old video games, board games ftw, learning random facts, etc.

I'm interested in meeting all kinds of people, love to meet new people-new food- new ideas- new languages-new cultures.

Pet friendly and animal lover in general, normally I talk to them. You can learn a lot from them.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like almost all kinds of music, from Salsa to Metal; i think it all depends on the mood. I enjoy many types of movies, a little bit geeky so marvel movies are a very good choice for me. Game of Thrones fan and updated, Friends and How I Met your Mother fan as well.

I like self help books, but also novels. I recommend Moonwalking with Einstein, author: Joshua Foer

But if you have one, share it with me!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Climb Iztaccihuatl (5,230 m) with my brother.

-Saved a street dog we called Totopo, later adopted by some friends.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can offer my time and myself, use me properly! I will show you my city and share what I know about it, specially how to arrive to some of the best mountains in my city. I could help you with your travel plans too!

I will definitely teach you some Spanish, and not only the usual swear words (although they are absolutely necessary 😉) and if you are keen I can teach you some salsa/bachata dancing

I'll be glad to learn whatever you have to teach or share.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A very awesome friendship.

I can also cook some mexican traditional dishes and teach some salsa or bachata.
